Lacy Thank You

This week had a lot of unexpected twists and turns, I don't know that one of my plans for the week turned out as expected.

It started out a week ago tonight with taking my mom to the emergency room with a possible stroke. All the tests she had at the hospital showed she may have had a TIA, not quite a stroke?? She was released with out patient care, so at her MRI appointment on Tuesday mom's primary Dr. had mom admitted to the hospital, much to my moms dismay, for further testing. All of the tests came back good, I was not around when the Dr's were so I did not find out what the diagnosis was other than a possible stroke.

All the damage had been done before we went to the hospital the first time so there was really nothing to do for her at this point other than wait and see what strength she gets back, for now she is doing fine.

Well, I had all my cards ready for at least a week, just waiting for release date, then life takes over and I am late, Christmas is coming and I am late, family is coming and I will be doing everything at the last minute.

Better late then never..... I found the Lace and Trim stamp the perfect background for the Thank You tulip. I believe I found it!!!
I stamped on vellum with brilliance white, I did have to allow time for it to dry thoroughly before I also used the small background stamp over the lace image, it was stamped with burnt umber on clear card stock. For the tulip I used white PTI paper, colored with a combination of markers, twinkling H2O's, and white inkssentials pen. I did add a touch of sky blue SU paper inside for the sentiment/message.

The next card is from the Thinking of you set. I made a sympathy card, I find the older I get the more cause I have to send them.

As you can see I used several styles of Spellbinder nesties for the many layers.

The main image was colored using markers direct to stamp, I misted lightly with water and stamped on white paper. After inking the edges with distressing ink I layered them on blue and black dp.

You know.........I am going to have to quite making my cards so far ahead before the time to post, I tend to forget all the details that go into each one.
